A lot of unforgetable memories…
As usual, SIT students came from America to Vietnam to learn about culture, language and travelling around Vietnam. We – members of BELL Club helped them a lot and we had many activities with Vy Dinh- SIT assistant.
We-11 lucky students first met them on September 2nd, we introduced ourself and then took them around HCM city by mortobikes.
On the next Saturday, we went to Cu Chi Tunnel, learnt about the war, talked to wounded soldiers. We were much closer and friendship were made.
We also helped them learn Vietnamese, which was pretty hard. We and SIT students tried a lot and after a long time studying, they had good results during many tests.
While they went to the North of Vietnam in 1 month, we still kept in touch by Skype, messages and Facebook, they still shared with us many wonderful things during their trip.
We not only helped them with Vietnamese language and culture but also with their ISP (Independent Study Project) about many problems in Vietnam including “mua sap” by Mikala, food by Elise, tea by Bobby, sex by Le, drugs by Jeremy…
3 months past, they had to come back to America and we said goodbye, but we wouldn’t forget those lovely people. They are really nice and they really love Vietnam. With Bobby- the great cameraman, Simon-super cute, Jeremy- ahumorous person, Alexa- really adorable, Lindsay- very friendly, Mikala- always happy, Erika- really diligent… They had learnt a lot about Vietnam and we also had learnt many things from them such as responsibility, hardworking and English skills improvement.
SIT program, the interesting and helpful program for both Vietnamese and American students, which helped us made friend with students from America and learn about American culture. We hope that we can join in many interesting and helpful activities like this in the near future.
