With the aim to provide necessary information about TOEIC-of which score is set as one of the conditions for graduating from UEH; BELL Club has co-operated with IIG Center, Major English Center and UEH Foreign Language Department to hold the Seminar “TOEIC in your reach”.

After just one week for setting tables and class-talkings all over 4 campuses A, B, C, E and 40 lecture rooms, more than 900 UEH students have registered for the workshop. With the outstanding advantages that the workshop brings to the students like free entrance, being held at the main hall A116 with the capacity of 1500 seats, free TOEIC Kit, scholarship from the sponsor, meeting the 990-TOEIC UEH student…The “TOEIC in your reach” Workshop which began at 7h30 on Sunday 8th April has suprisingly attracted an enormous number of attended students.

 

 

At the first part, Ms. Vu Bich Ngoc-the manager of IIG’s branch in HCM. City introduced about the general information of TOEIC as well as the importance and popularity of this international examination.

After that, the students became to be more interesting when Ms. Duong Thi Thuy Uyen step down the stage to get closer to the students and directly made a small survey about their way of learning English. Ms.Uyen did enthusiastically give specific examples guiding the students the best way to learn English.

During the break-time, students were fancy enjoying the performance of the winner of Dream Big 2011.

Mr Jody Mann, the Academic Director of MAJOR English center, shared his ideas about common pronunciation errors that the Vietnamese usually meet. Ms…emphasized the first importance of improving listening-speaking skills before improving reading-writing skills.

At the last part, Nguyen Son Nam- the freshman of UEH, the one who scored 990 in TOEIC-came and told out his “secret tips” for time-saving and keeping cold-headed when taking the tests, answers all the questions from the audiences.

The workshop ended successfully with the absolute pleasure of the students. TOEIC is in your reach now! Wish all of you would get the highest scores!
