CULTURAL EXCHANGE MEETING WITH TAMPINES JUNIOR COLLEGE

On November 29th, at room A105, members of  BELL Club and SIFE  had a great chance to meet students from Tampines Junior College . It was very useful for all participants to have a deeper understanding about both Singapore and Vietnam‘s geography, history, culture, current economy’s situation. During the meeting, we also enjoyed ourselves through many wonderful performances as well as some interesting games related to culture around the world.

“CHICKEN DANCE”

After “chicken dance” at the beginning of the meeting, all the members were full of energy to start with the presentations about Vietnam, University of Economics Hochiminh city as well as BELL club from members of BELL and then about Singapore, Tampines Junior College from their students. Through presentations, everybody could have an overall view as well as some special features in important fields. Especially, with presenters of economy’s sections, we could know more about import, export situation, inflation rate,… in each country, which was really necessary for economics students.

PRESENTATIONS FROM UEH

PRESENTATIONS FROM TJC

And then we spent precious time together discussing in group to check how well we understood presented issues as well as to find out main affected factors to the development of a country. This was really a golden opportunity for everybody to practice speaking English and try to express own ideas.

GROUP DISCUSSION

We also enjoyed beautiful songs from students of two schools and sang together after playing some interesting games.

PERFORMANCES AND GAMES

Thank Tampines Junior College very much for your coming to UEH and sharing us knowledge, small gifts,… which will surely become an unforgettable memory of each participant. Hope that we can welcome you again in the near future.
